Washington, Jan 27 : Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya Rai starrer `Guzaarish' - meaning `request' in English - is set for a Peru release in February this year, as Bollywood looks towards newer markets.

`Guzaarish' deals with the serious subject of euthanasia and received a four out of five star review from newspaper The Times of India, which called it, "one of the most unusual love stories of recent times".

Mumbai, Jan 11 - Talk-show queen Oprah Winfrey is coming to India next week and has expressed desire to meet Bollywood couple Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai, whom she hosted on her popular talk show, and the junior B has confirmed the news.

"Oprah is coming here to shoot a documentary and she has expressed a desire to meet," the 35-year-old actor said here at the Filmfare Awards press conference.

Toronto, June 28 : Hema Malini, the original 'dream girl' of Indian cinema, says Aishwarya Rai is the new dream girl of Bollywood.

"As I have said many times, Ashwariya Rai is a dream girl and a great actress. In fact, she is much more than a dream girl," Hema Malini said here while interacting with the media about her upcoming film "Tell Me O Khuda" which has her daughter Esha Deol in the lead role.

London, June 22: Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai is expecting her first baby with her husband Abhishek Bachchan after four years of their marriage.

Abhishek's father, actor and producer Amitabh Bachchan, broke the good news on his Twitter page.

"NEWS NEWS NEWS!! I am going to become a grandfather. Aishwarya expecting... So happy and thrilled!!!" the Daily Mail quoted him as tweeting.

Singapore, Jan 16 : Actress Aishwarya Rai walked away with the special jury award for her performance in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's "Guzaarish" at the Ponds Gold Radiance Zee Cine Awards 2011 held in Singapore.

Aishwarya was honoured Friday as the best actress (female) jury choice for her outstanding performance in the sensitive and challenging role of Sofia in "Guzaarish" that also starred Hrithik Roshan as a paraplegic patient.

Panaji, Dec 1 : The co-producer of "Guzaarish" has justified the controversial promotional posters of the film that show Aishwarya Rai smoking a cigarette, saying it is "a creative requirement of the script".

A letter issued by UTV Software Communications Private Limited to the National Organisation for Tobacco Eradication (NOTE), a tobacco vigilante organisation headquartered in Goa, has stated that Ash's smoking act on the posters was necessary.

"When I joined the industry, people initially used to say they have difficulty in pronouncing my name, so they started calling me ‘Ash'. But now, it has been years and I guess, everyone can pronounce it properly," Aishwarya told reporters.

Mumbai, June 14 : Bhojpuri superstar Ravi Kishan is grateful to his "Raavan" co-stars Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai for saving his life from a poisonous snake while shooting in the jungle.

"I used to lie down either on the river bank or in the bushes between shots to take some rest. I was lying on a rock when I heard them screaming, 'Get up or you will die'. I got up and saw that a nine-foot-long poisonous snake was approaching me," said Ravi.

Mumbai, June 14 : She did it, but without prompting. Aishwarya Rai will be seen in the Hindi as well as Tamil versions of "Raavan" that is releasing Friday, but says she didn't use any prompting for either and relied on memory for her dialogues in both the languages.

"I can't take prompting. First of all, I don't know the art of someone holding a placard and me reading it," Aishwarya, 36, told IANS in an exclusive interview.

New Delhi, May 29 : Bollywood actors Aishwarya Rai and Shah Rukh Khan will not be seen together in Yash Raj Films (YRF) next project, a spokesperson from the production house said Saturday.

"Despite our categorical denial of this baseless rumour, the tabloid continued to publish this with an ambiguous quote from a person at YRF. It is totally baseless and not true," said an official statement from YRF.

Until now she has walked the red carpet in western outfits at Cannes as she was there as part of an International team for Loreal, the brand she endorses, her spokesperson said.
