New Delhi - Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan was Friday discharged from a hospital in India's western city of Mumbai where he was admitted last week following abdominal pain.

The actor was admitted to the Lilavati Hospital on his 66th birthday on October 11. Doctors diagnosed Bachchan with incisional hernia from an earlier surgery.

Mumbai, Oct 17: Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan, who was admitted in the Leelavati Hospital last weekend after he complained of stomach pain, was discharged today.

On October 11, his 66th birthday, he was first rushed to Nanavati Hospital after he complained of stomach pain. After undergoing preliminary health tests, he was referred to the Lilavati Hospital.

Mumbai, Oct 11 : Actor Amitabh Bachchan, who is celebrating his 66th birthday, was taken to the Nanavati Hospital this afternoon.

He was rushed to Nanavati Hospital after he complained of stomach pain. Later, he was referred to Lilavati Hospital.

According to Nanavati Hospital sources, Amitabh left the hospital at around 12:40 p. m. after an X-ray of his stomach and chest were taken.

Mumbai, Sept 10 : Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan said on Wednesday while apologizing for his wife Jaya Bachchan’s remarks that were deemed anti-Maharashtrian by some political parties that we are ready for any punishment if found guilty.

“I do not think we have said or done anything negative but we will leave it to the State,” he said in a news conference in Mumbai today.
