London, June 27 : Sir Bob Geldof has confessed that he was almost on the verge of killing himself after his 20 years marriage with Paula Yates broke-up.
Geldof, 59, said he battled "universes of grief" and the only reason he restrained from taking the extreme step was because of his young daughters Fifi Trixibelle, Peaches and Pixie.

London, June 6 : Irish singer Bob Geldof delivered a moving speech on the `power of love' on the last day of the Hay Festival, saying what a "detestable" character he had become after the break-up with his wife.
Geldof, 59, admitted that he was left heartbroken when Paula Yates, the television presenter, left him in 1995. However, his life transformed after meeting French actress Jeanne Marine.

London, Mar 19: Socialite Peaches Geldof has insisted that she is not the "wild party girl sex fiend" that she has been portrayed to be, even as pictures of her posing nude with men emerged.
Geldof, 22, who is the daughter of musician Bob Geldof, is, in one picture, seen posing naked, draped in an American flag, next to equally nude friend Jonny Makeup, a sometime fashion designer and Los Angeles hanger-on.

London, Aug 27 : Irish singer Bob Geldof has revealed that the memories he has of The Beatles always leaves him feeling squeamish, as he can't help but remember seeing girls soiling themselves in excitement.
Geldof, 58, who saw the legendary band in concert during the height of Beatlemania in the mid-1960s, said the tales of teenage girls wetting themselves over John Lennon and Paul McCartney are true.
Bob Geldof handed honorary university degree

London, July 24 : Bob Geldof has been presented with an honorary university degree for his contribution to culture.
The former Boomtown Rats star donned a traditional cap and gown when officials at the University of Kent in Canterbury gave him the Master of Arts accolade.

Sir Bob’s ex-wife Paula Yates walked out on him to have a relationship with Hutchence.
After Hutchence’s death in 1997 and Yates’ sudden death in 2000, the rocker adopted their daughter Tiger Lily.
Recently, Glassop claimed that after becoming the legal guardian of Tiger Lily, Geldof has damaged ties between her family and the girl.
