London, November 1 : Christie’s auction house is selling original portraits of Marilyn Monroe, Brigitee Bardot and Johnny Depp for as little as 400 pounds.

The 150 photographs in this range include people from Madonna in the Eighties to US president Barack Obama. The more expensive portraits though are expected to fetch 50,000 pounds.

Sydney, Feb 12 : French model/singer Brigitte Bardot has called one of President Nicolas Sarkozy''s oldest friends a "big, fat wide-boy liar" after he claimed to have slept with her at the height of her fame.

Bardot, 75, was infuriated by Patrick Balkany''s claim in his autobiography released last month, and his repeating it on radio and television.

London, Apr. 16: A Paris prosecutor has called for French film legend Brigitte Bardot to receive a two-month suspended prison sentence and a 12,000-pound fine for inciting racial hatred in a letter.

Bardot, now an animal rights activist, has been convicted four times since 1997 on similar charges, reports The Telegraph.
