London, Mar 9 : Oscar bosses have defended their decision to leave out late actress Farrah Fawcett from the "in memorial" montage.

They insist that it is impossible to pay tribute to every star who has passed away in the last year.

Fawcett, who had passed away in June last year, was left out from the Academy Awards'' tribute section on March 7, which marked the deaths of stars including Brittany Murphy and Patrick Swayze.

London, Mar. 9 : Farrah Fawcett’s log-time boyfriend Ryan O''Neal has expressed shock at the actress’s omission from the Oscars’ “In Memoriam” segment despite having been a member of the Academy for 40 years.

“It was a terrible decision and very hurtful – Farrah was a member of the Academy for over 40 years and we could not believe she did not get a mention,” the Herald Sun quoted O'' Neal, as saying.

Washington, Mar 8 : Farrah Fawcett, who passed away last year, was not included in the "Stars We Lost" tribute at the Oscars.

The segment opened with a portrait of Patrick Swayze, but made no mention of the `Charlie's Angels' star.

"What happened to a tribute to Farrah Fawcett?" Fox News quoted one commenter as saying.

Another commenter posted: "Did I miss it, or was Farrah Fawcett not in the memorial tribute?"

London, January 25 : The director accused of “sensationalising” Farrah Fawcett’s story in a documentary has denied the claims made by the late actress’ estate.

Craig Nevius was slapped with a lawsuit at Los Angeles County Superior Court by the representatives of the estate who alleged the filmmaker sought "misplaced revenge" after the star declined his work.

London, May 31: After battling cancer for two years, Farrah Fawcett is back to her healthy and fit self.

Sources say that the former Charlie’s Angels star is looking tanned and in great shape, and s not considering any more treatments.

“She was looking tanned and in great shape and said she had no current plans for any more treatment,” the Daily Express quoted a source, as saying.

Washington, Jan 3 (ANI): Actress Farrah Fawcett 's cancer battle has brought the original Charlie’s Angels stars together once again.

Fawcett, 60, who is battling anal cancer, has been drifting between her American home and Germany, where she is being treated.

And Fawcett’s former co-stars and cancer survivors, Kate Jackson and Jaclyn Smith, are paying her regular visits.

"Jaclyn and Kate have been there for Farrah throughout her cancer ordeal," Contactmusic quoted a source, as telling National Enquirer.

Washington, Sept 28 : Actress Farrah Fawcett’s close pal has revealed that the actress is seeking "alternative treatments" for cancer in Germany.

Fawcett went through chemotherapy and radiation treatments after she was diagnosed with anal cancer in September last year and was declared cancer free by her doctors.

However, this year in May, doctors discovered that the cancer had returned.

A malignant polyp, smaller than a pea, was found during a routine three-month check-up.
