Washington, Jan 11 : Nick Cannon’s father James Cannon has revealed that his son’s recent hospitalization for mild kidney failure only strengthened his relationship with Mariah Carey.

“Nick and Mariah have a very strong bond,” Us magazine quoted the dad as saying.

“If anything, this unexpected illness has made them closer than ever and appreciate one another even more.”
