New York, Feb 7 - Ricky Martin, who is in New York these days getting ready for his return to the Broadway stage, will play a Spanish teacher in a popular television series "Glee".

Martin will play David Martinez, a Spanish teacher at the fictional McKinley High School in Ohio, and will perform the bilingual version of "Sexy And I Know It" by the LMFAO electro pop duo, along with the Madonna hit "La Isla Bonita" (Beautiful Island), his press agent said in a communique.

The Ricky Martin Foundation Child Development and Prevention Centre, with a budget of $4 million, will begin construction this year and is expected to be completed by 2012. The centre will have 10 classrooms, a library and a recreation area.
