Washington, Jan 19 : Sean Penn who is helping Haiti recover from the devastating earthquake has revealed that relief and building efforts are really starting to happen after an agonizingly slow start.

The Hollywood charity Cinema for Peace honoured - and raised money for -- the Sean Penn-founded J/P Haitian Relief Organization (J/P HRO) on Saturday.

Washington, Jan 16 : Sean Penn has become an "ambassador at large" for the Caribbean nation of Haiti.

The `Milk' actor - who has been assisting in the country's relief efforts since it was struck by a devastating earthquake two years ago - was offered the position by the nation's foreign minister Laurent Lamothe while at the Cinema for Peace benefit in Los Angeles on Saturday night.
