Los Angeles, April 16 : The director's cut of Shah Rukh Khan starrer "My Name Is Khan" (MNIK) will be screened at the Indian Film Festival of Los Angeles (IFFLA) April 20-25. Dilip Mehta's "Cooking With Stella" will open the fest.
Directed by Karan Johar, MNIK will be released in the US by Fox Searchlight Pictures May 7. In the film, Shah Rukh has teamed up with Kajol.
New Delhi, April 6: "Doesn't anyone take a joke anymore," asks Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan after his statement of dancing naked if his team Kolkata Knight Riders wins the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) was blown out of proportion by media.
"Read in some paper that I can be taken to court for my dancing in the buff statement at IPL. When will people develop a sense of humour," the actor posted on his Twitter page.
New Delhi, April 2 : Shah Rukh Khan starrer "Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi" won the Grand Prix of Peace award and a cash prize at the Okinawa International Film Festival.
The audience voted for the winner in the festival that took place in Okinanwa, Japan March 20-28.
New Delhi, March 22 : Superstar Shah Rukh Khan, who flaunted six-pack abs in blockbuster "Om Shanti Om" but couldn't maintain them later, is doling out fitness tips to youngsters through micro-blogging site Twitter.
"Six-pack more to do with diet than exercise alone. You need to be very disciplined. (Do it for) 30 to 40 days... they will start to show," Shah Rukh posted on his Twitter page Monday.
Mumbai, March 18 : Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan was presented the Global Entertainment and Media Personality award at the FICCI Frames 2010 Excellence Awards here Thursday.
"Thank you so much to FICCI for bestowing this award on me, and the job that you guys are doing is absolutely outstanding," said Shah Rukh after receiving the award.
The Global Icon of the Year award was presented to Oscar winning music director A. R. Rehman.

Mumbai, March 9 : International R&B singer Akon, who is here to record songs for Shah Rukh Khan's film "Ra. One", says he is a big fan of the Bollywood superstar and that he will not only have shows in India during his world tour but would also do more work here soon.
"I am a big fan of Shah Rukh. I am very familiar with Shah Rukh's work. I am meeting Kareena (Kapoor) for the first time today," Akon told reporters in a press conference here Tuesday.

"In other Islamic markets too, it continues to grow and has crossed over to non-diaspora audiences. In Indonesia, for example, the film has grown from six to 14 screens and has seen a jump of 300 percent in week three," Vijay Singh, CEO of Fox Star Studios India, said in a statement.

According to police, the youths who attacked the cinema hall were not affiliated to any political group.

However, industry sources said that the second show - starting after 12 noon - might be taken up in some cinema halls.
The movie was slated to hit 63 cinema halls in Mumbai.
The Fun Cinemas group of multiplexes was preparing to screen the movie - there was a huge crowd of patrons at the hall amidst tight police security.

Kolkata, Feb 11 : As uncertainty clouds the release of Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan's "My Name is Khan" in Mumbai, the film is receiving good response in terms of ticket sales in Kolkata and other parts of West Bengal.
"Almost all tickets for the weekend are sold out," said Srijita Chatterjee, assitant Manager, corporate communications of INOX Leisure Ltd.
"It is releasing in all INOX-Forum multiplexes Friday," Chatterjee told IANS.
