According to HSUS, the store gets dogs from puppy mills in the Midwest.
They also found that it had been operating without a license for three years.
"We did shut [Pets of Bel Air] down and they have 48 hours to bring their permits into compliance, " People quoted Ed Boks, general manager of Los Angeles Animal Services, as saying.
Pets of Bel Air, which is known for its high-profile clientele, could not be reached for comment. (ANI)
