London, Dec 27: Comic writer and TV performer Ricky Gervais is using his ‘Extras’ sitcom to slam reality programmes and their whining stars.
In the hit BBC/HBO co-production, Gervais’ character Andy Millman ends up on Celebrity Big Brother, and blasts the show and its stars, saying: "I am sick of these celebrities living their life in the open. When they go into rehab they call their publicist before the taxi. ”
"The Victorian freak show never went away, it is called Big Brother or X Factor, " the Mirror quoted Gervais, as saying.
The actor also revealed that Millman would be meeting up singer George Michael, who is doing some community service on Hampstead Heath by picking up litter.
He also said that celeb chef Gordon Ramsay has a cameo role shouting "c**k" outside a posh restaurant. (ANI)
