Rocker Sting buys New York condo for 26.5 million dollars

New York - Rocker Sting has splashed out 26.5 million dollars on a luxury New York penthouse overlooking Central Park.
The former Police star signed a contract on the 16th-floor flat in March. The building features top-end finishes and small apartments for cooks, housekeepers, butlers and other staff essential to the well-being of ageing rock stars.
Sting's neighbours in the building include some of America's leading financial figures, such as former Citigroup Inc Chairman Sanford Weill and Goldman Sachs Group Inc Chairman Lloyd Blankfein. (dpa)
