London, Nov 23 - Sylvester Stallone and heavyweight boxing brothers Vladimir and Vitali Klitschko have announced that the stage show "Rocky The Musical" will open in Germany next year.

The Oscar-winning 1976 boxing movie has been turned into a stage show in a joint production between Stallone and the Klitschko brothers.

The musical will premiere in Hamburg in November 2012 and the 65-year-old actor said he cannot wait to see on stage the story which he wrote, reports femalefirst. co. uk.

"To see this story coming to life on a musical stage makes me proud," said Stallone.

In 1977, "Rocky" won three Academy Awards and the film spawned five sequels. (IANS)
