Washington, Jan 7 : Rupert Grint and Emma Watson have beaten Twilght actors Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart to become the highest earning on-screen couple of the past five years.

Forbes magazine and Box Office Mojo compiled the new list, based on onscreen chemistry and box office success, and the Harry Potter stars beat the competition after together helping to rake in 4.2 billion dollars over the course of the study.

Pattinson and Stewart were a distant second with takings of 2.5 billion dollars and original Transformers co-stars Shia LaBeouf and Megan Fox came in third with earnings of 1.5 billion dollars, Contactmusic reported.

Among the rest of the top five are Robert Downey, Jr. and Gwyneth Paltrow - thanks to the first two Iron Man films - and LaBeouf and his Transformers: Dark of the Moon love interest Rosie Huntington-Whiteley. (ANI)
