London, June 25 : Actor Ryan Gosling has been roped in to play the lead in director Nicolas Wilding Refn's new film "Only God Forgives".

The 30-year-old actor, who has previously worked with Refn in "Drive", will be seen playing a prominent role in the movie, a revenge story featuring a Thai police officer and British gangster hiding out in Thailand against a backdrop of gambling, prostitution and boxing, reports contactmusic. com.

The shooting of the film will begin in November and is slated for late 2012 release.(IANS)
