Sir Paul McCartney ‘dreaded’ compiling greatest hits album

Sir Paul McCartneyLondon, Nov 21: Sir Paul McCartney feared that he had not recorded enough good songs to justify the compilation of his greatest hits album.

The 65-year-old singer is releasing a new triple DVD collection of his best-known songs entitled The McCartney Years, which he confessed that at the beginning he ‘dreaded’.

“I thought, ‘Oh, no God, there’s not enough good stuff yet,’” the Daily Express quoted him, as saying.

However, the ‘Coming Up’ hitmaker insisted that he was pleasantly surprised when he re-visited some of his past efforts.

“But looking at it, I think some of the stuff I was a bit scared of, I don’t need to be scared of,” he said.

“Especially as it’s all been re-polished and buffed up. They seem to stand up quite well,” he added. (ANI)
