London, Oct 7 : Rapper Snoop Dogg will star as the father in a family sitcom for NBC, which he has developed with producer Don Reo.

This is not the first time he is venturing into acting. The 39-year-old has earlier worked in a sketch show "Doggy Fizzle Televizzle" for MTV, and appeared in reality show "Snoop Dogg's Father Hood" for E!.

Snoop is also planning to launch a TV talent show to find potential stars from deprived areas.(IANS)
