Sting polled ‘Worst Lyricist Ever’

StingLondon, Oct 10 : Police frontman Sting has been voted the ‘Worst Lyricist in History’, according to a poll conducted by US magazine Blender.

The Desert Rose singer won the top spot for ‘ripping off’ the works of Chaucer and Shakespeare, reports the Daily Mail.

Sting was followed by Rush drummer Neil Peart at the second spot.

Creed frontman Scott Stapp and Oasis guitarist Noel Gallagher secured third and fourth places respectively.

Soft-rocker Dan Fogelberg rounded off the top five, at the fifth spot.

The top five list of worst lyricists ever is as follows:

3) Scott Stapp
4) Noel Gallagher
