London, February 27 : The toxicology report assessing the death of Brittany Murphy has cleared the late actress’ name, according to her widower Simon Monjack.
The Clueless star died aged 32 on December 20 last year after collapsing at her Hollywood Hills home.
The Los Angeles County Coroner''s Office ruled out foul play, concluding Murphy primarily died of pneumonia, with anaemia and multiple drug intoxication as contributing factors.
The assessment declared Murphy had "no history of alcohol or drug abuse" before her untimely death, much to the relief of Monjack.
"(I) sobbed and sobbed (when I read the report). I haven''t gotten out of bed yet,” the Daily Express quoted Monjack as telling US Weekly magazine.
"She never did anything that she was accused of! We never hid anything. And that''s been the case with everything in our marriage,” he added. (ANI)
