London, Sept 27 : U. S. Vogue's editor-in-chief Anna Wintour is said to be desperately trying to convince Catherine, the Duchess of Cambridge, to pose for her magazine's cover.
Wintour has reportedly asked photographer Mario Testino, who was a favourite with Princess Diana, to use his Royal connections to persuade the Duchess.
Testino has long been friends with Prince William, and he also took the Royal couple's official engagement photographs last November.
According to sources, Wintour hopes that taking advantage of Testino's trusted relationship with the Royal family will give her an edge over rival titles.
"Anna has been speaking to Mario about winning over Kate. She is really pressing him to shoot Kate for the cover," the Daily Mail quoted a source as telling the New York Post.
However, Kate is not so easy to convince.
So far, the Duchess is believed to have already turned down the offer of a British Vogue cover. (ANI)
