Islamabad, Mar 12: Pakistani artiste Veena Malik, who has reportedly been threatened by the Taliban, has said she will not seek asylum in India.
Malik, who is currently in India appearing on television shows for the ICC World Cup 2011, said she had received a letter from the Taliban a few days back via a media house in Pakistan.
She had spoken to representatives of the media house, who confirmed its legitimacy, she added.

Karachi, Feb 23: Popular Pakistani singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, who reached home today, is willing to revisit India.
The Pakistani singer, who has sung various tracks in Bollywood films, was detained in India under charges of carrying undeclared money.
According to Geo News, he said his detention was due to lack of his knowledge relating to Indian Custom Laws.

Lahore, Nov 25 : Indian distributors have expressed concern that Sanjay Leela Bhansali's "Guzaarish", which has Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya Rai in the lead roles, was screened in Pakistan two days ahead of its India release, a media report said.
"Guzaarish" was scheduled for release in both countries Nov 19, but Pakistani film exhibitors showed it Nov 17.

Islamabad, Oct 4 : Zarsanga, who is considered the Queen of Pashto folk music, is living in poverty in a tent on the roadside in Pakistan's Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.
The singer, 65, moved into the tent along with her family after her home was washed away in the recent floods.
The singer told the News International that she had served Pashto music for 45 years and had given performances in Germany, the US, France, Russia and Afghanistan.

Islamabad, Sep 7 : Hollywood actress and UN Goodwill Ambassador Angelina Jolie Tuesday visited flood-hit areas of Pakistan and said she was shocked by the level of destruction in the country.
Jolie is on a two-day visit to the flood-hit country as the personal envoy of UN High Commissioner for Refugees, Geo TV reported.
The 35-year-old actress travelled to Nowshera town in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province and met Afghan refugees and distributed flood relief materials.

Islamabad, April 3 : Singer Adnan Sami has tied with the knot with an Afghan woman named Zoya Fariyabi in Mumbai, a private TV channel has claimed.
The 36-year-old Khan’s walima ceremony was organized in Islamabad.
Azaan, Sami’s son from his first wife Zeba Bakhtiyar, made the arrangements for the ceremony, reports The Daily Times.
Zoya, a German by origin, told the channel that Adnan was perfect for her and that she loved him.

Lahore, Mar 8 : Pakistani film and TV actress Veena Malik has served a legal notice to her former boyfriend and Pakistan fast bowler Mohammad Asif for recovery of Rs 3.4 million.
The notice, sent through her counsel, reportedly states that Asif was given different amounts on different occasions by Veena on the promise that he would return it, but he did not.
