Karachi, Apr 12 : Pakistani actress Meera has said that she is trying to be a religious person, and revealed that she is taking Quran classes these days.
The Lollywood diva met up with journalists at the Karachi Union of Journalists office for an interview on Tuesday afternoon, clad in jeans and a silk top, and clutching black rosary beads.
She was seen constantly reciting some verses - which she termed as "zikr-e-Allah".

Islamabad, Mar 21 : Pakistani film actress Meera’s car was impounded two days ago, and despite her own efforts and several recommendations from influential people she has been unable to get it released from the police station.
According to sources, the actress spent hours in the station trying to get back her Toyota Corolla XLI after it was found plying without requisite documents, the Dawn newspaper reported.
Islamabad, March 11 - Oscar-winning Pakistani documentary maker Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy wants Pakistanis "to do their bit for fighting injustice".
Obaid-Chinoy, who made "Saving Face", said it was heartening to see so many people struggling to tackle the scourge of acid attacks and hoped their efforts would finally banish this curse.
"It is the responsibility of all Pakistanis to do their bit for fighting injustice," Dawn quoted her as saying.
Lahore, Mar 9 : Veena Malik has said that she will be back in her home country Pakistan soon to do some projects and also to launch her own music album.
Malik is currently doing three films in India – ‘Daal Mein Kuch Kala Hai’, ‘Zindagi Fifty Fifty’ and ‘Bombay 125 Km’.
“I am also doing a film ‘Super Model’ with Ashmit Patel,” Dawn quoted her as saying.
She said that while ‘Daal Mein Kuch Kala Hai’ is a comedy, she plays a sex worker in ‘Zindagi Fifty Fifty’ and ‘Bombay 125 Km’ is a 3D thriller-horror.
Karachi, Mar 9 : Veena Malik played Holi for the first time in India with the cast and crew of her film ‘Daal Me Kuch Kaala Hai’ at B R Studios in Juhu, Mumbai.
The Pakistani actress and model was on her way to the studios for a scheduled dubbing when director Aanand Balraj splashed her with colour. Actor Kishore Bhanushali and writer Vijay Akela also dashed out of the studio to join in.

In her acceptance speech, and first-time Oscar nominee Chinoy dedicated the award to the women of Pakistan.
"All the women in Pakistan working for change, don't give up on your dreams, this is for you," the News quoted her as saying.
Islamabad, Feb 26 - A Brazilian film festival enthralled movie-buffs here.
The film festival began Saturday and will continue till March 4, reported Dawn Sunday.
It is the first organised by the Brazilian embassy.
"Pakistanis don`t know much about Brazil beyond football and some other things and we wanted to showcase our culture for them through this festival," Thomaz Mayer, first secretary at the embassy, was quoted as saying.

Islamabad, Feb 16 : Shoaib Akhtar has denied controversial film star Meera's allegations that the former Pakistan pacer had proposed to her.
The Lollywood star revealed in an interview over the weekend that the 36-year-old bowler had proposed to her, but she had declined the offer as Shoaib had also proposed to her cousin at the same time.
"This is totally baseless," the Daily Times quoted Shoaib as saying.
