Lahore, July 23: Renowned Pakistani singer Shafqat Amanat Ali Khan, who gained recognition across the border, has announced the release of a new digital album.
Shafqat said the demand for music in the modern market is for digital, and added he is frustrated with the issue of CD piracy.
Karachi, July 21 : Veena Malik's new Ramazan show, in which she was supposed to repent for her sins, didn't seem to have settled well with the awaam.

Hasan had been under treatment at hospitals in Pakistan for a while, and there had also been reports of shifting him to India. He was admitted at a hospital in Karachi for the past couple of weeks after he had developed a chest infection and breathing problems, reports The Express Tribune.
Islamabad, June 13 - India-born Pakistani ghazal "badshah" Mehdi Hassan, who had been ailing for the last few years, passed away at a private nursing home in Karachi of breathing complications. He was 84.
His son Arif confirmed the news, Geo TV said. "My father has been ill for the last 12 years but his year his condition had deteriorated itself," he said. (IANS)
Karachi, June 5 : Pakistani actress Meera is all set to marry her fiance Captain Naveed Shahazad on July 21, after convincing his father Raja Pervez to accept the marriage.
Talking to media, Pervez said that they had agreed to accept Meera as their daughter-in-law for the sake of the happiness of their son.
"We have agreed to Naveed's marriage with Meera for the delight of our son," The Nation quoted him as saying.
Karachi, May 4 : Pakistani actress Veena Malik, who is currently in Fiji for some work, has revealed that she is keen to return to India to shoot for the Tamil version of `The Dirty Picture'.
Her debut in the Tamil film industry, `The Dirty Picture', is a remake of Ekta Kapoor's movie of the same name and Malik will play the role played by actor Vidya Balan in the Hindi version.

Islamabad, March 11 - Oscar-winning Pakistani documentary maker Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy wants Pakistanis "to do their bit for fighting injustice".
Obaid-Chinoy, who made "Saving Face", said it was heartening to see so many people struggling to tackle the scourge of acid attacks and hoped their efforts would finally banish this curse.
"It is the responsibility of all Pakistanis to do their bit for fighting injustice," Dawn quoted her as saying.

The film festival began Saturday and will continue till March 4, reported Dawn Sunday.
It is the first organised by the Brazilian embassy.
