MAF-Group-LogoThe Mirdif City Centre was successfully handed over to Majid Al Futtaim Properties on 16 March 2010 by ALEC, part of the Al Jaber Group. ALEC was praised heavily at the opening ceremony of the mall on Tuesday, for successfully achieving the scheduled opening date to the highest standard of quality.

This was noted as one of the best and most completed malls in the region upon opening by Peter Walichnowski, Chief Executive of Majid Al Futtaim Properties.

In August 2007, ALEC was given the job of the main contractor on the Dhs3bn development. Mirdif City Centre, that has a total constructed area of 578 000m2, has 430 retail outlets. On the opening day, over 350 of these tenants opened for trading.

Furthermore, the mall also has acquired certificate of being a LEED Gold project. The main objectives that included timely delivery, satisfied customers, and great quality were achieved by ALEC, which opened the mall to the public on the planned date.

Already, ALEC has a strong portfolio that includes the Dubai Marina Mall, Souk Madinat Jumeirah, and Souk Qaryat Al Beri and Mirdif City Centre comes an extra entry to it.
