Vienna  - US singers Mary J Blige and Chris Brown are among the artists to perform at a tribute concert for Michael Jackson in Vienna, the late popstar's brother Jermaine announced Tuesday in Austria's capital.

The event is to be staged on September 26, featuring artists performing Michael Jackon's greatest hits.

Other US singers to appear on the stage in front of the Schoenbrunn palace include Jermaine Jackson, Natalie Cole and Angela Bassett, as well as the soul formation Sister Sledge.

Bassett is known not only for her singing, but also as an actress who has portrayed Jackson's mother for a US television series, as well as Tina Turner in What's Love Got to Do with It.

Michael Jackson died June 25 at the age of 50 from an overdose of a powerful anaesthetic. (dpa)
