Maryland Governor Hogan completes First Round of Chemotherapy

On his Facebook page, Maryland Republican Governor Larry Hogan updated about his health. He affirmed that he has completed his first round if chemotherapy and feels ‘healthy and strong’. He was diagnosed with stage III non-Hodgkin's lymphoma.

Hogan, 59, on his Facebook page said that he is happy to share that things are going great. His treatment is going well and he is not suffering from any side effects. On Monday, Hogan announced that he has been diagnosed with cancer.

Test reports have unveiled that he has around 30 to 40 tumors in his abdomen, neck and groin. Hogan, the first-term governor, took office in January. His cancer was at an advanced stage and was also very aggressive. But things became better as it responded well to chemotherapy.

Hogan is expecting that his chemotherapy treatments will continue for 18 weeks and will continue to take them. After returning from a trade mission to Asia, Hogan canceled all his meeting and appearances.

While shaving, Hogan noticed a golf ball-sized lump in his throat. It was the time before leaving for the 12-day trip and during the stay, he felt fine. After coming back, he took some medical tests and that unveiled about a dozen tumors in his throat and more 20 to 30 were found in his abdomen and groin.
