Washington, Oct 21: Michael Jackson’s superhit charity track We Are the World, which raised nearly 63 million dollars worldwide, is set to do more good than the late King of Pop would have thought – the song’s release form signed by MJ will soon be up for grabs at a benefit auction.

MJ had singed the paper in 1985, saying that all royalties from the song would be donated for famine relief in Africa.

The track not only raised a whopping sum of money but also rocketed to the number one position in the music charts of almost 20 countries.

And now its release form is all set to be auctioned on October 21 and 22.

The proceeds from this Connecticut sale will go to the VH1 Save the Music Foundation, reports Contactmusic.

The entertainment souvenirs sale would also see MJ’s leather jacket, lyrics written in his handwriting, guitars owned by Elvis Presley and Jimi Hendrix go under the hammer among other items. (ANI)
