Indian President Smt. Pratibha Devisingh Patil will give away the 56th National Film Awards for 2008 on 19 March, 2010 evening at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi.

Bengali movie 'Antaheen' by Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury, was declared as the Best Feature Film.

Antaheen has also recived Best Cinematography, Best Female Playback Singer awards and Best Lyrics. Shreya Ghosal was nominated as the Best Female Playback singer for Antaheen and for Marathi flick 'Jogva'.

Avik Mukhopadhyay was declared as the Best Cinematographer for 'Antaheen' and Anindya Banerjee and Chandril Bhattacharya were honored for Best Lyrics for their lyrical 'Ferari Mon' in Antaheen.

Rituparno Ghosh's 'Sab Charitro Kalponik' was declared as the Best Bengali Movie.

Best Actress Award goes to Priyanka Chopra for her outstanding performance in Madhur Bhandharkar's 'Fashion' whilst Upendra Limaye pocketed the Best Actor Award for his role in 'Jogva'.

Kangana Ranaut has been declared as Best Supporting Actress for 'Fashion'. Besides, Arjun Rampal was adjudged as the Best Supporting Actor for 'Rock On'. (With Input from Agencies)
