Nintendo enters education sector
Shigeru Miyamoto, founder of the popular gaming platform Nintendo has unveiled his plans to introduce the popular gaming service to the ‘education sector’.
The plan, as said by the company would start from Japanese schools. The Nintendo DS platform, which is already in use by the museums, galleries and aquariums as virtual tour guide and at homes for brain exercising games, translation tools, flash cards, cookbooks, dictionaries, classic literature, will feature in those schools as a learning tool.
Miyamoto said in an interview, at the BAFTA, “Education may be the area where I am devoting myself the most.” He was at the BAFTA to collect the honor of fellowship.
He was given the honor after the success of the Wii - a widely popular platform of Nintendo.
