No Gain Without Pains For This Labourer SonYet another labourer son has made it big.

Rising above all odds, the son of a daily wage labourer has featured in the top ten of this year's WBJEE merit list.

The boy named Deepankar Maity always believed that he would fulfill his dream one day.

However, from the very beginning, Deepankar was well aware of his financial problems.

But a determined Deepanker worked day and night against all odds and achieved what he cherished for long.

Speaking on this, an excited Deepanker said, “I used to buy books with the money I got from the scholarship and I devoted at least 10 hours in studies.”

He thanked his teachers and parents from the bottom of his heart who always helped him.

Deepanker always stood first in Baje Shibpur B K Paul's Institution.

The hard-working boy was always a favorite with teachers.

Commenting on Deepanker, Principal Binoy Halder said, “We had high hopes for him. We knew that given the family could not afford extra coaching, so we tried our best to help Dipankar. Our efforts have paid off.”

Speaking about his family, Deepanker said his father was a daily labourer working in a nearby factory and his mother used to sell the hand bags.

Deepanker along with his family lives in a modest dwelling on 10/8 Nil Ratan Mukherjee Road in Shibpur.

Her mother, Maya Maity said that they never thought that their son would so well in WBJEE.

She thanked Deepanker’s school teachers who always guided him and gave tuition free of cost.

Deepankar now aims to go abroad for his future studies.
