Oz Tennis Player Banned For Racial Slur
Brydan Klein, the former junior Australian Open champion, has been banned for sixth months by Association of Tennis Professionals (ATS) for racially abusing another tennis player and he will pass through a racial sensitivity course as reported by the local media on Friday.
Apart from six months ban, Australian pro has been also fined with $10,000 for a racial blot against South African Raven Klaasen during an ATP tournament in England last month.
According to Australian media Klein has been alleged to call Klaasen a "kaffir" and to spat at his coach and another player.
Klein said that he feels deeply sorry for the wrong language used by him against Klaasen and he accepts the ban, which has been imposed on him by ATS.
He added that he regrets his error in judgment while using racial slur and he wants to forget this event in the future.
