Auditors give a sparkling chit to Idea Cellular
Idea Cellular received positive news as the special auditors found no discrepancy in its balance-sheet. They have submitted the report to the department on Tuesday.
Few of the telecom companies including Bharti Airtel, Vodafone Essar, Reliance Communications and Tata Teleservices have been ordered to submit accounting details for three years from 2006-07 to the Comptroller and Auditor General of India (CAG) in the next 15 days.
Adding Further, Auditors told that we did not find any diversion in revenues which may cause lower Adjusted Gross Revenue (AGR).
As per sources, AGR is the basis for arriving at licence and spectrum fee liability.
It is reviewed that Idea cellular has a liability of Rs 26 crore only as due to lower AGR, out of the total liability of Rs 74 crore , Rs 48 crore becomes non-payable as per TDSAT judgment.
