Marking its 21st anniversary, Macmillan Cancer Support will be holding an annual fund raising event called the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning. It is urging people to sign up in large number to help the charity to raise funds to support the cancer patients.

The official date for the commencement of the event is 30th September, set by the Macmillan Cancer Support. However, the participants of the event could hold the coffee morning as per their convenience. The event can be held anywhere from home to community centre.

It has come to light that this year, the Star Business Challenge has joined Macmillan Cancer Support to raise funds for the cancer patients. Besides, 44 other firms have also joined Macmillan Cancer Support to help the cancer support to raise the target amount of £100,000 this year.

To raise the funds, the firms will be seen selling cakes, barbecue and a coffee morning. Alex Carratt, Manager of the Powerleague said, “Macmillan is a great charity that helps thousands of people overcome and deal with such a difficult challenge – a challenge I have experienced within my own family. Everyone associated with Macmillan Cancer Support deserves our help in any way possible”.
