P. Chidambaram-led finance ministry has made some more changes in the Direct Tax Code draft bill that aims to replace the country's income tax act of 1961.

In the revised DTC, the finance ministry has accepted 153 of 190 recommendations made by Yashwant Sinha-headed parliamentary standing committee on income tax.

However, the finance ministry didn't accept the standing committee's recommendation that the limit of income tax exemption should be hiked to Rs 3 lakh and the remaining tax slabs should be relaxed.

Mumbai, April 2 : Two- and three-wheeler manufacturer Bajaj Auto Wednesday reported a marginal increase of one percent in its sales for March at 304,330 units from 301,231 units in the corresponding period of last year.

Exports, however, grew by 17 percent at 118,183 units from 101,374 units shipped-out during the corresponding period of 2013.

As only a few days are felt in the expiry of the black box's batteries, it will likely become almost impossible for investigators to find the debris.

Accra, April 2 - In what is expected to give a major boost to the presence of Indian pharmaceutical companies in Africa, a new warehousing facility will be opened in Nigeria for exporting medicines from India to that West African country.

The Pharmaceutical Export Promotion Council of India (Pharmexcil), in accociation with with Sankil Pharmaceutical, a local pharmacutical business agency in Nigeria, will open the new warehouse, according to statement issued by Pharmexcil.
