Though governments are still reluctant to accept digital currency Bitcoin, the number of companies and vendors accepting the currency is on the rise.

According to website CoinMap, the number of physical companies and retailers accepting Bitcoin has nearly tripled to more than two thousand. Some of the well-known retailers that have already accepted the digital currency include Berlin record store Long Player and Santa Monica, Calif.-based florist Flower Lab.
