China-Japan trade falls in 2012 for first time in three years amidst island row

China-Japan-FlagTokyo, Jan 11 : China's trade with Japan fell 3.9 percent in 2012 to 329 billion dollars, the first drop in three years, the General Administration of Customs has said.

The drop reflects that Chinese consumer have boycotted Japanese goods sparked by a territorial row, which led to an 8.6 percent fall in imports from Japan last year.

According to the Japan Times, Japan fell from being China's fourth-largest trading partner to its fifth.

Weapon training company’s CEO threatens to ‘start killing people’ over Obama’s gun control policies

In a video posted on YouTube and Facebook, James Yeager, CEO of Tactical Response, claimed that he would `start killing people' if President Barack Obama decided to take executive action to pass further gun control policies, Raw Story reports.

Tripura goes to polls on Feb. 14, Nagaland and Meghalaya on Feb. 23

VS-SampathNew Delhi, Jan 11 : The Election Commission of India on Friday announced dates for assembly elections in Tripura, Meghalaya and Nagaland.

Chief Election Commissioner VS Sampath said the polls will be conducted in two phases.

Tripura will go to polls in the first phase on February 14, while polls in Meghalaya and Nagaland will be held in the second phase on February 23.

The votes will be counted in the three states on February 28.

In Meghalaya and Nagaland, nominations will have to be filed by February 6, the commission said.

11th Pune International Film Festival felicitates veteran Bollywood actors

Actors Jeetendra Kapoor and Ramesh Deo were given lifetime achievement awards.

Jeetendra said: "I have spent so many years in the film industry with your love and affection."

Well-known film personalities, including actors Mohan Agashe, Mukta Barve, director and producer Subhash Ghai, sound designer Resul Pookutty and Jabbar Patel, director of PIFF attended the festival.

AITA picks second-string team for India-South Korea Davis Cup tie
