Pakistan still optimistic for relocation of matches

Pakistan still optimistic for relocation of matchesPakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has been still optimistic for relocation of 2011 World Cup matches to neutral venues even after rejection PCB demand by the International Cricket Council (ICC) in the meeting of four hosts, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh, and ICC representatives, which held in London earlier this month.

The PCB chairman, Ijaz Butt said that they have been still hopeful to find solution for this problem as they will continue to consider various options which could be accepted by everyone.

Butt blamed other three co hosts of 2011 World Cup saying that they made significant progress till last week but due to oppose by the Asian countries, Pakistan may not be able to host their quota matches at any neutral venues and they will discuss this issue again in the meeting of the ICC's central organizing committee (COC).

Earlier, PCB had demand to shift 14 matches of their quota of 2011 World Cup to Abu Dhabi and Dubai but ICC rejected their plea saying these 14 matches will be hosted by the other three host nations.
