Karachi, Sept 13: Pakistan tennis star Aisamul Haq Qureshi has expressed his disappointment over the defeat in the semi-final of the doubles event at the US Open, and said that he "could not sleep that night."
Aisam and his Indian partner, Rohan Bopanna, crashed out of the US Open after losing to the Polish pair of Mariusz Frystenberg and Marcin Matkowski 6-2, 7-6 (7-4) in the semi-final clash last Saturday.

New York, Sept 10: The tennis duo comprising Rohan Bopanna of India and Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi of Pakistan have crashed out of the semi-final match of the US Open.
The Indo-Pak Express lost to the Polish pair of Mariusz Frystenberg and Marcin Matkowski 6-2, 7-6 (7-4) in the semi-final clash on Saturday.
Qureshi-Bopanna had beaten the English duo of Colin Fleming and Ross Hutchins 7-5, 2-5, 7-5 in the quarterfinal match.
The Indo-Pak duo finished as runners-up in the men's doubles event at last year's US Open. (ANI)

A partnership between an Indian Rohan Bopanna and his Pakistani doubles partner Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi has reached their set goals in spite of facing defeat in the Wimbledon quarter-finals on Wednesday.
This strange pairing has created news at the All England Club this year with their 'Stop War, Start Tennis' jackets. They were beaten 6-4, 7-6, 6-2 by Juergen Melzer of Austria and Germany's Philipp Petzschner.

India's Rohan Bopanna and his partner Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi of Pakistan has won their maiden ATP title as the Indo-Pak duo clinched the men's doubles title in the South African Open at Johannesburg.
Rohan-Qureshi has defeated Slovakian Karol Beck and Harold Levy of Israel 2-6 6-3 10-5 in the final at the Montecasino Outdoor Arena. The Indo-Pak pair lost the first set but came back strongly in the second set and clinched the match by winning last two sets.

Qureshi have entered the doubles finals of the ATP Challenger here.
The third-seeded India-Pakistan pair rallied to beat the wilcard pair of Karol Beck of Slovakia and Jiri Krkoska of the Czech Republic 3-6, 7-5, 10-3 here Friday.
Bopanna-Qureshi next play the winner of the match between top seeds Henri Kontinen and Jarkko Nieminen of Finland and Germany's Phillip Marx and Slovakia's Igor Zelenay. (IANS)

Kuala Lumpur, Sep 30 : India's Rohan Bopanna and Pakistan's Aisam-Ul-Haq Qureshi blew up a set advantage to go down fighting 6-2, 6-7(4), 11-13 to Russia's Igor Kunitsyn and Czech Jaroslav Levinsky in the $947,750 Malaysian Open tennis quarterfinals here Wednesday.
The India-Pakistan wildcard pair committed nine double faults as compared to their opponent's five and were broken thrice in the one hour and 33 minutes match.
Bopannna is still alive in the singles where he is slated to meet fourth-seeded and World No. 12 Fernando Gonzalez of Chile.(IANS)
