London, Nov. 16 : World Heavyweight Boxing champion David Haye has revealed the mindset that inspired him to victory over Russian giant Nikolai Valuev eight days ago.
"At the end of the 11th round I had a look at the crowd and when I sat down I knew I was just three minutes away from fulfilling a childhood dream. I kept thinking about all the years in the gym, all the people that I had shared a ring with and all the fights during my career. I knew that I had to stay calm in the last round and not lose my head and certainly not go looking for glory," Haye''s told The Sunday Mirror.

London, Nov 11 : World boxing heavyweight champion David Haye’s dream 20 million pound showdown with one of the Klitschko brothers could be ruined by his own promotional teams as they are afraid to take on the fight.
Vitali and Vladimir’s manager Bernd Bonte wants Britain’s new world heavyweight champ Haye to fight one of the Ukrainians next year.
But Bonte says Haye’s agreement with three promoters - Golden Boy, Sauerland Events and Don King - could prove to be a big stumbling block.

London, Nov 9 : New world heavyweight boxing champion David Haye stands to rake in at least 20 million pounds from defending his crown as well as sponsorship, television rights and advertising deals.
Haye bagged five million pounds by negotiating a share of the Sky Box Office takings, where half a million viewers paid 14.95 pounds to watch him snatch the title from the Russian Nikolai Valuev.
He is believed to have earned around five pounds for each 14.95 pound Sky fee plus a cut of the higher commercial rates charged to pubs and clubs of up to 700 pounds.

London, Nov 9 : The new heavyweight champion David Haye has revealed that he had been into modelling for a short period, but sifted his focus to boxing to quench his thirst for "beating the hell out of people".
Before turning into a pro as a boxer in December 2002, David had appeared in a few ads for Italian fashion house Versace and has also posed for top US chain Abercrombie and Fitch.

London, Nov 9 : The newly crowned world heavyweight champion, David Haye, can be the new Muhammad Ali of world boxing, a top promoter has said.
Richard Schaefer, CEO at US firm Golden Boy Promotions, said: "The last champ like him was Ali. Now we have someone to capture the imagination. When you think back, Ali was able to do that - not just of sport fans, but people all over the world. David has those same ingredients."
"Our hopes and prayers have been answered, the heavyweight division has a new charismatic champion," he added.
