Telugu cinema history’s biggest super hit Arundhati is all set to be made into Hindi now by its original makers. Recently news was out that the makers had approached Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi actress Anushka Sharma but the deal couldn’t get through since she was still tied up under her mentors Yash Raj three film contract. Now the makers, it is learnt have approached Deepika Padukone for the same role.

Bangalore, Mar 26 : Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone on Thursday announced that a ten-kilometer marathon would be held here on May 31, 2009.

Padukone, who is promoting the marathon, said she would try to run as much as she could in the marathon.

"I have been practicing yoga for the past few years. I don't know how much that is going to help me. Maybe not in terms of endurance but definitely in terms of metal strength. In flexibility, I think I have a decent stamina. So, I will try and run as much as I can," she said.

New Delhi, Mar 22 : Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone on Sunday rocked the ramp for two designers at the ongoing Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week here.

On the fourth day of the fashion week, Padukone was the show-stopper for designers Rana Gill and Rina Dhaka.

The actress dazzled audiences in a multi-hued full-length gown and a short brown-and-white dress on a day when ballroom gowns and cocktail dresses ruled the ramp.

The actress expressed happiness on returning to a place from where she started.

Deepika Padukone doesn't believe in being greedy and signing as many projects that she can to remain in the rat race, she is definitely a class apart. A committed professional that she is, Deepika recently completed all her assignments on hand that included shooting TV commercials for all the five brands she has on hand apart from her pending films. Now maintaining a low profile after the debacle of her last release, Chandni Chowk to China, Deepika has taken a much needed break before she begins her next film.

Mrs. Kapoor expressed her dislike against Deepika publicly. She raised questions over Deepika, and news spread far and wide that Deepika is not her choice.

Neetu Singh also said, “Both of them are very young. It’s a long way to go before marriage. No one knows what future holds for them.”
