New Delhi, Jan 16 : Commerce Minister Kamal Nath will chair the Partnership Summit 2009 and deliver a special address on "Building Partnerships in a Post-Crisis World" here on January 19.
The inaugural plenary will also be addressed by Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit; Stockwell Day, Minister of International Trade and Minister for the Asia-Pacific gateway, Canada; and Peter Mandelson, Secretary of State for Business, Enterprises and Regulatory Reform, UK.
The union government may announce a second financial package to boost the economic growth rate amid global slowdown. It was revealed by the Union Commerce and Industry Minister, Kamal Nath at the sidelines of a function, organized by the Spanish Institute of Foreign Trade.
New Delhi, Dec 11 : Commerce and Industries Minister Kamal Nath today said that the Government would consider another financial assistance package for the export sector next week.
Addressing a news conference here Nath said, "The package which will be announced will generate further demands. Our growth is domestic demand driven. We will have to ensure that our domestic demand continues and government will be taking all the steps including greater investment to ensure that demand in the domestic economy continues in a healthy manner."

Addressing the India-Russia CEOs Council meeting here, Nath said that there is immense possibility for joint investments in the areas like banking, information technology, telecommunications, high-technology sectors, power, pharmaceuticals and textiles.
