New York, November 16 : Hollywood legend Lauren Bacall has been presented with an honorary Oscar.
The 85-year-old actress, who was married to showbiz heartthrob Humphrey Bogart until his death from cancer in 1957, collected the accolade at Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences''
2009 Governors Awards.
"I can''t believe it - a man at last," the New York Daily News quoted Bacall as saying.
"The thought that when I get home I''m going to have a two-legged man in my room is so exciting," she added.

The latest buzz is that veteran Hollywood actress Lauren Bacall will be conferred with an honorary Oscar by the Academy of Motion Pictures, Arts and Sciences.
The 84 year old diva and one time wife of Hollywood's favorite leading man Humphrey Bogart had received the nomination or the Best Supporting Actress at the Oscars way back in 1996 for film ‘The Mirror Has Two Faces’ but unfortunately had lost out.

London, Sept 12 : Veteran actress Lauren Bacall will receive an honorary Oscar from Academy Awards bosses in a special ceremony.
The 84-year-old star was nominated for Best Supporting Actress at the Oscars in 1996 for film ‘The Mirror Has Two Faces’ but didn’t win the award.
However, after a decade Bacall is among this year''s recipients of an honorary statue, given to celebrate motion picture achievements not covered by existing Academy Awards.

London, Aug 27 : Screen legend Lauren Bacall has said that the current vampire flick `Twilight' is nowhere near to 1920s horror movies when it comes to scaring audiences.
The Hollywood veteran sat down to watch the 2008 blockbuster to check out the cinematic craze her grandchildren were so excited about.
However, a disappointed Bacall said that today's youngsters should watch classic scare-flicks, which are far more scary than the Robert Pattinson starrer.
