Washington Dec 23 : Hollywood legend Marlon Brando had made a failed attempt to get a job as a TV presenter shortly before his death, in a bid to boost his bank balance.

In her new book, the Godfather star's former assistant Alice Marchak has revealed he was so broke that he contemplated selling goods on U. S. home shopping channel QVC.

He had only 9,000 dollars to his name at the time.

Washington, Dec 15 : Hollywood legends Marlon Brando and Robert Duvall once opted for a unique way to lighten the mood on the sets of the Godfather - flashing their butts at cast and crewmembers.

In a new picture book Godfather Family Album, James Caan, who played Brando''s onscreen son Santino ''Sonny'' Corleone revealed the prank that both the actors played on the sets of 1972 movie.

He said that Brando was the ultimate joker.

"They''re standing at the wedding ceremony when they posed for that picture, and there are 500 extras, old ladies, old men, kids, everybody," Contactmusic quoted Caan as saying.

Washington, Dec 5 : Hollywood legend Marlon Brando suffered from eating disorder bulimia, according to a new book.

In the book titled ‘Me and Marlon’, Brando’s longtime personal assistant Alice Marchak spilled the beans on her extraordinary life with the late actor.

The brawny actor regularly gorged on food only to vomit it back up in secret.

Marchak came to know about it only when she found him passed out in a bathroom after having haemorrhaged.
