Award winning actor Morgan Freeman and his wife have finalized their divorce in the state of Mississippi.

A certain Tallahatchie County judge had the divorce decree on the 15th of September and William R. Wright, the attorney who represented Freeman spoke to The Association Press and revealed that the divorce terms are all sealed. He also said that the divorce was finalized without a trial.

London, Nov 12 : Hollywood actor Morgan Freeman is all set to receive a top honour for his contribution to cinema at the 21st Annual Palm Springs International Film Festival in California.

The Oscar winning actor will be given the prestigious Career Achievement Award for Acting at the festival''s award ceremony January 5, 2010, at the Palm Springs Convention Center.

London, Nov 6 : Actor Morgan Freeman has reached an out-of-court settlement relating to a car accident last year, which seriously injured him and a passenger.

Demaris Meyer had filed a lawsuit in US District Court in February insisting Freeman was negligent when the car ran off the side of a rural highway near his Mississippi Delta home last summer.

The 1997 Nissan Maxima belonged to Meyer, but Freeman was driving when the car flipped several times and landed upright, reports the Daily Express.

Los Angeles  - Morgan Freeman is to play a disgruntled, elderly playboy in a new movie that could see him resurrect his starring partnership with Jack Nicholson from 2007's The Bucket List.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, the movie has been circulating with the name Dirty Old Men but could get another name before it goes into production at Warner Bros.

Washington, July 20 : Actor Morgan Freeman is reportedly in talks to star alongside Bruce Willis in an espionage thriller, titled `Red'.

The script for the film has been adapted from three book series of the same name, that is `Red', published in 2003 and 2004.

The film tracks the story of a former black-ops CIA agent living a quiet life in retirement, until the day a high-tech assassin shows up intent on killing him, reports Variety magazine.

Washington, July 11 : American film star Morgan Freeman is not going to marry his step-granddaughter, his publicist has said.

The denial from the actor's publicist comes as a reaction to reports suggesting that the Shawshank Redemption star, 72, is romancing 27-year-old E'Dena Hines.

The Yari Film Group pic will be co-produced by with Macy's Dog Pond Prods., Paris Film Inc. and Revelations Entertainment.

‘Maiden’ centers on three museum security guards who have become attached to the artwork they've watched over for decades.

When they learn their beloved pieces are to be transferred to another museum, they concoct a scheme to "steal" them back.
