Ross Brawn rules out Schumacher’s return for MercedesLondon, Nov 24 : Team principal of Mercedes Formula One team Ross Brawn has confirmed that seven-time F1 world champion Michael Schumacher will not come out of retirement to drive for them.

After world champion Jenson Button decided to sign for McLaren last week, speculations had been mounting about Schumacher's comeback to spearhead the official return of Mercedes for the first time since 1955.

However, it was effectively ruled out when German driver Nico Rosberg was confirmed as Mercedes'' first nominated driver for next season.

The Brawn Grand Prix boss masterminded Schuey to seven world titles, two with Benetton and five with Ferrari, reports The Sun.

He was quoted as saying: "After Felipe Massa''s accident, it was natural for him to come back. Michael will return with determination and seriousness, but he''ll want to have fun. I can''t wait to see him again at work."

F1 boss facing drive ban after speeding charge

Ross BrawnLondon, Aug 5 : Ross Brawn, the head of Brawn GP, is facing a driving ban after he was charged with speeding.

The 54-year-old Formula One team principal is accused of reaching speeds of 100mph in his Mercedes on the 70mph limit A30 at Sourton, near Okehampton, Devon, on May 30.

Brawn, from Henley-on-Thames, Oxfordshire, has not entered a plea, reports The Telegraph.

He was not present at Plymouth Magistrates'' Court because he is abroad preparing for the team''s next races in Spain and Belgium.

His legal team was granted an adjournment in the case.

Honda sells F1 team to former manager BrawnTokyo  - Honda Motor Co sold its Formula One racing team to its former manager Ross Brawn, Japan's second largest carmaker announced Friday in Tokyo.

Honda pulled out of F1 in December, citing the global economic crisis, since then the Brackley, England-based Honda Racing F1 Team (HRF1) team fought for its survival.

"The entire shares of the HRF1, held by Honda GP Holdings Ltd, the UK-based holding company for HRF1 that managed all operations of Honda's Formula One racing, were sold to Ross Brawn," a company statement said.
