Switzerland and Denmark sign banking secrecy deal

Geneva - Switzerland and Denmark have signed an agreement that paves the way for the lifting of bank secrecy in suspected tax evasion cases, Swiss media reported Wednesday.
Banking secrecy has been enshrined in law in Switzerland since 1934, but the global economic slowdown has increased pressure on so- called tax havens to open up their client confidentiality.
The agreement would be sent to Swiss cantons and Federal Council before being presented to Parliament for approval.

After controversies surrounding the King of Pop Michael Jackson`s death finally another new set of controversies has emerged stating that Jackson's latest album which is slated to release on December 14, 2010 is fake. According to various news sources there seem to be an ongoing debate as whether the vocals in the track has been really recorded by the legend himself. Michael's two children Paris and Prince Michael have added that they were present when Michael Jackson was in the studio to record the track and they felt that that the vocals in the album did not corroborate.
McNally Bharat Engineering secures order worth Rs 246 crore

worth Rs 246 crore from Vedanta Alumina for commissioning three plants in Orissa.
The scope of the order include design, detailed engineering, manufacturing and supply of equipment, erection and commissioning of three 35 tonnes per hour each of plant at Jharsuguda in Orissa.
The company does not see a significant impact on margins due to price escalation clauses for most projects, a top official stated.

The Labatt ad, which appeared at Mac''''s Convenience Stores across Ontario in November, says, "Leave one out for Santa. He''''s driving," and shows a bottle of Labatt''''s Blue de-alcoholized beer.
However, it looks like people are not happy with the campaign.
"I don''''t think that''''s quite appropriate," the Toronto Sun quoted Kathleen Clifford, 65, as saying.

London, July 21 : Katie Price a. k. a Jordan apparently wants to become a WAG after her split with husband Peter Andre.
She said that she wants to "do" footballers Frank Lampard and Christiano Ronaldo.
"There's actually quite a few little footies I'd do. Ronaldo. I'd probably go back to Frank Lampard, finish what I started, and who knows?" the Daily Star quoted her as telling in an interview with Glamour magazine.
Jordan added that she has X Factor boss Simon Cowell in her mind too.
Bangladesh government, opposition start dialogue on polls

Dhaka - The military-backed interim government in Bangladesh began talks with opposition parties Thursday for chalking a consensus plan for a peaceful transition of the crowded South Asian country to democracy, officials said.
The talks were being held between the chief of the caretaker regime Dr Fakhruddin Ahmed and his aides and the heads of political parties individually focusing on holding a free and credible general election by December.

establishing an SEZ in IT and ITeS segments and taking care of children’s mid-day-meal system and healthcare services.
Mr. T V Mohandas Pai, Director HR, ER and administration and member of board of Infosys, said, “We have proposed to set up an IT SEZ in Bhubaneswar. The project will require 50 acres of land.”
The company funding mid-day meal for 10,000 school children in Nayagarh region, also decided to expand the program to Gajapati and Kandhamal regions.
Besides, 30,000 children in Puri district were also getting midday meal in Puri district.
Podolski stays at home, but could be fit for England

Munich - Bayern Munich striker Lukas Podolski will not travel with the team to Borussia Moenchengladbach on Saturday but will join up with the Germany squad to face England on Wednesday.
Podolski has not recovered in time from a back injury and will instead put in an extra training session in Munich, coach Juergen Klinsmann said Friday.
Podolski will join the Germany squad on Sunday, and national team coach Joachim Loew "will decide in what shape he is in to play against England" in Berlin on Wednesday, Klinsmann said.

UAE has refurbish the residency medical law for expatriates

UAE Ministry of Health said on Thursday that workers coming from other countries to work in UAE suffering from Hepatitis B or C may get work permit in United Arab Emirates. The ministry has decided to refurbish the residency medical law.
According to the ministry, tests for hepatitis B will be needed only in six restricted professions whereas tests for Hepatitis C would be mandatory in any case.
Moreover, ministry has not changed any law regarding AIDS /HIV; in this case any expatriate who tests positive would be only deported.

The Government of India will be reducing tax on sensitive goods by 20% as per the agreement signed by the Indian members of South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC), under the South Asian Free Trade Area (SAFTA).
The Union Commerce and Industry Minister Anand Sharma stated that it was time when India should be backing the aim of formulating economic incorporation. Mr. Sharma revealed his views and plans of the Government in a conference organised by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) and Ministry of External Affairs (MEA).

Mustardseed yesterday traded with the negative node and settled -1.12% down at 2735 due to profit booking amid weak trend in spot market. The total arrivals of mustard seed increased by 10000 bags from the previous to 3.35 lakh bags in major mandies. In the Sriganganagar spot market in Rajasthan the price edged down by -26.25 rupee to 2650 rupees per 20 kgs. In yesterday's trading session Mustardseed has touched the low of 2731 after opening at 2760, and finally settled at 2735.
