London, July 02 : English comedian Simon Pegg, who is expecting a child with wife Maureen McCann, is excited about the impending arrival of his baby.

"It''s the most important thing to me. I''m very excited. I want to be a really good dad, a good influence and a good role model - someone my child can turn to, whatever the hell that means... It''s all to do with your attitude and making sure they stay grounded, but making sure they aren''t deprived of anything," the Daily Express quoted him as saying.

Washington, Apr 21: English actor Simon Pegg called his experience of new Star Trek film premiere at London''s West End a ‘geek dream’.

The 39-year-old actor, who plays Scotty in the sci-fi series, came wearing a kilt as homage to his Scottish character.

Pegg said the premiere was "very special".

"It''s the Empire Leicester Square. I saw films here as a child... it''s a geek dream come true," Contactmusic quoted him as saying.

Washington, Feb 20 : English actor Simon Pegg has revealed that his wife, Maureen McCann, is five months pregnant.

The `Paul' star, who married wife Maureen in 2005, is thrilled because this will be his first baby.

"My wife is five months pregnant. We haven''t announced it yet as we want to keep it hush-hush," Contactmusic quoted him as saying.

He also revealed that he was keen to have a daughter.

"I''m hoping for a baby girl, but I really don''t mind what we have. We''re thinking of having it in America as the baby will then have dual citizenship," he said.

"I''m really looking forward to it. It''s going to be amazing," he added. (ANI)
