Strange indeed are the ways of Bollywood! While most of the actresses are involved in a so-called cut-throat competition to prove themselves a cut above the rest, there is recent news about two of the industry's most sought-after actresses - Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone - getting along like the proverbial 'house on fire!'

The budding friendship has become ever-so-obvious from the way the two hot heroines have spared time to be at each other's place for special occasions. While Priyanka was the first of the guests to arrive at a dinner party hosted by Deepika a few months back, Deepika and beau Ranbir Kapoor were present at Priyanka's party for Hollywood hunk Gerard Butler.

According to sources, on April 30, the day Priyanka hosted the party, Deepika had put in a long 10-hour-day for an extensive photo-session - which had her in different looks spanning five decades. Despite being exhausted, Deepika made it a point to be at Priyanka's party. Others present at the bash included Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri, Arjun Rampal and Mehr Jessia, Imran Khan and Avantika Malik, Shahid Kapoor, Sussanne Khan, Karan Johar, and Madhur Bhandarkar.

There have also been reports quoting Priyanka, who has said that Deepika is a "great girl," and how the two had a friendship blooming even before Deepika hit the limelight with 'Om Shanti Om.'
