Qantas launches commercial to promote business loyalty program

Qantas launches commercial to promote business loyalty programQantas, the flag carrier airline of Australia, is promoting its recently-launched business loyalty program, dubbed Aquire, with a commercial featuring Deus Ex Machina founder Dare Jennings and Jac+Jack fashion brand founders Jacqueline Hunt and Lisa Dempsey.

Aquire allows small & medium sized businesses to earn points by booking flights through Qantas or spending money with any of the new program's partners, which include Avis, Westpac, Deloitte, Randstad, Macquarie Leasing, Staples, Snap and Budget.

While previously frequent flyer points earned on business flights used to go to the passenger, the new loyalty program earns points for both the passenger and the business.  The points earned can then be used to get discounts in booking hotels or other flights.

Speaking about the new loyalty program, Qantas Loyalty CEO Lesley Grant said, "Aquire rewards businesses for their loyalty by delivering tangible benefits that can have a positive impact on their bottom line."

In the just launched commercial, Jennings can be seen riding a motorbike and discussing what he does and does not want to acquire in his life.  The commercial also features Lisa Dempsey and Jacqueline Hunt, who talk about the benefits of the Aquire loyalty program for small & medium enterprises.

In the recent past, the airline had announced its decision to cut five thousand jobs and decreased the points that passengers earn for economy domestic flights.  The moves, which angered the airline's employees as well as passengers, aimed at dragging costs down.
