Yesterday evening was a new start for Rahul Mahajan who knotted weeding ties with Dimpy Ganguly ending the much hyped and highly watched NDTV's Swamyamvar part 2. Son of Late Sh. Pramod Mahajan, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader got married to this Bengali girl after she wiped off two finalists Nikunj Malik, 25 and Harpreet, 21, and many other females' participants who had applied in for the reality show.

Dimpy, 21 years old and now wife of Rahul Mahajan after winning the "Rahul Dulhaniya le Jayenge" contest in this reality show, wants Rahul to opt for Politics and make a career in it. Wanting her husband to be like his father, Dimpy, an actor and a model by profession said, "I really want Rahul to pursue a political career.

Rahul doesn't want me to be a housewife. So I'll work. But I don't know yet what I will be doing". Also a participant of "Big Boss", 35-years old Rahul responded to his wife's desire as he said, "I'll first manage my home and once that is settled, I'll manage the country." Dressed traditionally in Neeta Lulla's designed red coloured wedding dress, Dimpy was wearing 'mangal sutra and vermillion'.

The coupled was blessed and greeted by many family members and friends including Rahul's mother Rekha Mahajan. The venue for the marriage was Leela Kempinski Hotel in Mumbai and it was a typically "Bollywood-style" marriage. The registration of the marriage will take place in Bandra, Mumbai on Tuesday.
