Rajiv Dube may join M&M

Rajiv Dube may join M&MThe automobile veteran that has played a major role in Tata Motors in resurgence of the Indica hatchback and the success of the Indigo Manza, the president of the Passenger Car segment of Tata Motors has resigned from his post and is expected to firm up his future plans in the next four-six weeks.

According to the sources, Dube may join Tata Motors' arch rival M&M to mark its re-entry into the passenger cars segment. Though, Tata Motors has said that the company has accepted the request of Dube who has played a major role in the growth of the Passenger car unit since its formation in 1998. Dube may now plan to move to M&M to revive the Logan.

Dube said that he currently has close to 3-4 options in his hand and will be looking at zeroing in on one in the next three to four weeks. It may be noted here that Dube was one of the contenders for the post of the MD of the company after Ravi Kant was promoted as the Vice-Chairman of the company while Dube's colleague P. M. Telang was appointed as the MD. Though, Dube said that the resignation was not because of any dispute with the management, he also declined to comment on the possibility of joining M&M.
