Ramsarup inks accord to sell power to West Bengal

Kolkata, Nov 13 : Ramsarup Industries, which has interests in steel, power and infrastructure businesses, Friday said it has signed an agreement with the West Bengal government to sell power to it.

According to the deal, the firm will supply 118.6 million units of power per annum to West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Co (WBSEDC) from its waste heat, CO-gas based power plant in Kharagpur.

The 22-MW plant was commissioned in June 2009.

The company is expected to generate a revenue of Rs. 60 crore per annum from this agreement.(IANS)
